Overall, this had everything in it that I like in my romantic suspense books. The overall plot with GovCorp is very interesting and I'm enjoying the pieces that get revealed with each book. I was very much invested in seeing Luna find her way back to Oliver. She sacrificed her love with Oliver to save her. I could feel Luna's heartbreak over what she had to do to save her sister. Luna had no choice but to bring her in to get the medicine she needs which resulted in her being blackmailed. Her sister, Lexi is a GV hybrid and was falling ill. Luna is very much in love with Oliver but she has to betray him and the Committee to get help for her sister from GovCorp. We got the beginning of their story in Book 1 so if you have not read that book yet, I would recommend reading it first. These GV's, as they are called, started a rebellion 4 years ago and now live openly with natural borns but there are those that exist to continue the works of GovCorp in secret.Īdrenaline Heat is focused on Oliver and Luna. They were a part of the GovCorp program that tried and failed to create the ultimate soldier by way of Genetic Invitro borns. The Deadly DNA series is about genetically engineered ex-soldiers.
